STAR Format Interviews

The STAR method uses a structured approach to unlocking how you handle work situations and challenges. It is a clear and powerful method that allows you to demonstrate your process with a real-world example.


Situation: Share a challenge you encountered.

Task: Share your objectives or what was required to be successful in that situation

Action: Explain how you addressed the situation.

Results: Share the outcome and whether you achieved your objective.


Don’t be afraid to provide detail at each point. Dive into your reasoning and if any other avenues of action were up for consideration. If so, why did you discount them? Provide any information that proves you’re a motivated and engaged problem solver capable of overcoming challenges with a measured and professional approach.
