Are you a talented Program Manager looking for your next contract role to kick off the year? Our State Government client requires an experienced professional to upgrade, maintain and implement new technology at multiple sites across Queensland in a multi‐disciplinary programme of work.

Your Role: As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the prioritisation, planning and delivery of the program within an agreed framework and existing governance models. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating accountable, high performing and engaged project teams operating across inter‐ agency and cross‐agency boundaries, including coaching and mentoring project managers and their teams
  • Planning and managing budgets appropriate to assigned projects 
  • Managing risks and challenges including implementing proactive risk management practices to ensure project success
  • Working closely with resource managers to allocate resources effectively from all stakeholder groups to effectively deliver across the disciplines of design, construction and ICT and optimise resource utilisation to meet timeframes and budget
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Effectively communicating strategies, progress, challenges and solutions to form a unified vision and understanding of the program
  • Generating regular reports on project status and maintaining comprehensive project documentation for future reference and auditing purposes

About You: To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar Program Manager roles
  • Extensive experience and proven capability in leading diverse teams   
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, especially the having a positive influence on a range of stakeholders and lead high performing teams
  • Proven capability in coordinating and delivering programmes from initiation through to handover to BAU
  • Experience with having scheduling and budgetary responsibility for projects and/or large complex programs
  • Experience in PMBOK, PRINCE2, or OnQ project management methodologies
