Technical Lead

Emanate Technology have partnered with one of Australia’s most renowned and trusted organisations, to deliver and provide technical leadership in line with the business requirements for a project delivery team, with a large focus on design, development and deployment.

This Tech Lead position is a 12-month contract.

The successful candidate will need to have an active Baseline clearance, OR Australian Citizen at a minimum, with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

About the Role:
The Technical Lead will drive the development of a robust and scalable system on AWS infrastructure in alignment with solution architecture documentation. Providing experience with storing and integrating Data utilising AWS, SaaS solutions and the development of components that will be handed over to clients. You will be working in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with Architects, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership of the Aviation Message Broker project delivery team, sharing experience in delivering a complex Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud solution coordinating with stakeholders’ oversight.
• Be responsible for estimating and planning of delivery resources, to provide guidance to the project manager about project schedule.
• Develop Detailed Design documents based on the High-level design and solution architecture
• Collaborate with the project team and external partners to provide guidance on data transfers, messaging formats and API-based data delivery mechanisms.
• Coordinate with the Architect and Data subject matter experts to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and data governance practices.

Your skills in the following areas will be highly valued:

• 4+ years demonstrable experience in similar large ICT project
• Coordinate with the Architect and Data subject matter experts to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and data governance practices.
• Solid prior experience in Python, Java, REST API’s
• Track record of Data AWS AppSync (GraphQL) and AWS Redshift, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, NoSql
• Experience in data delivery via messaging, APIs, and file transfer mechanisms
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Able to work under pressure of tight deadlines and evolving requirements.

Desirable

• Understanding of geospatial, temporal, relational and non-relational Database design
• Understanding of geospatial Web application development and dependencies
• Experience with ReactJS
• Experience with microservice architecture

Certifications:

• AWS certification – preferred
