Job Description:

Our client, world leaders in fit-for-purpose agile training, coaching, and consulting. Are seeking a strategic and results-driven Government Engagement Manager to spearhead the expansion of our thier business within the Public Sector. As the Government Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new market opportunities, building strong relationships with government agencies, and driving revenue growth. Your innovative approach and leadership will be instrumental in positioning thier organisation as a trusted partner in the government market.

Responsibilities:

  • Introduce and grow the brand and reputation in the Government market by positioning them as a thought leader and source of credible data.
  • Identify and validate customers’ needs and drive outcomes that leverage the skills, capabilities, and capacity of our client for commercial gain.
  • Be accountable for revenue targets within your market by strengthening existing relationships and attracting new business and customers.
  • Facilitate collaboration between key Government customers and internal teams who support the delivery of proposed solutions.
  • Develop and maintain valued relationships within the Government portfolio to achieve customer outcomes through the implementation of appropriate strategies.
  • Network and liaise with local consultants to develop new opportunities, avenues, and partnerships for our client.
  • Work with the wider team to ensure visibility and accessibility on Government procurement avenues and develop client-centric proposals.
  • Monitor competitor activities to understand how to outperform them within the marketplace.
  • Identify local market business opportunities and collaborate within the wider organisation to realise commercial potential.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate files, records, contacts, opportunities, and pipeline forecasting through CRM.
  • Leverage deep network for Panel onboarding.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar business development role, preferably in the professional services sector.
  • At least 7 years of experience and proven capability in selling to Government buyers.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships at a senior level.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Strong delivery management skills to ensure customer outcomes are met.
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.


Desirable:

  • Experience in working in a start-up or new division/branch of a business.
  • Knowledge of, or experience working within the Australian training and consulting sector.
  • Understanding of new ways of working (Agile, Lean, Human-Centred Design, etc).
