Senior Security Advisor – Personnel

E2 Cyber is proud to be supporting a Federal Government Department in finding a Senior Personnel Security Specialist. This role presents a great opportunity to contribute to the Personnel Security Section, ensuring a secure environment for their employees while overseeing all security facets of their employment journey.

The role

As a Senior Personnel Security Specialist, you’ll collaborate with various stakeholders within and outside the Department. Your main responsibility will be to manage and uphold the integrity of the department’s Security Strategy. In addition, you’ll be instrumental in our program aimed at boosting our security capabilities across the department.

Key Duties

We are looking for someone who is adaptive, possesses a positive attitude, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.  Within this role, you will be expected to manage the following:

• Coordination and execution of personnel security protocols, including security clearance, pre-employment screenings, and exit procedures.
• Detection and mitigation of personnel security risks following the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
• Overseeing personnel eligibility criteria, including citizenship waivers and temporary access allowances.
• Handling security investigations and incident management protocols.
• Leading personnel security education initiatives and fostering departmental engagement.
• Delivering security briefings when necessary.
• Dispensing expert advice on various security issues such as personnel security, insider threat management, and security governance.
• Overseeing personnel security measures within Health’s associated entities.
• Maintaining governance and reporting protocols within the section.
