Role Responsibilities:

• Acting as a respected expert in core languages / technology, sought after for opinion and guidance, along with broad skills and experience across a variety of other languages and technologies
• Care about the quality of the codebase and continually looking for ways to improve it
• Demonstrate strong understanding of architecture, how it is delivered and run-in production, and the impact that changes may have on it
• Demonstrated sound knowledge of current technology industry trends in your chosen domain
• Lead others in complex problem solving and debugging tasks
• Provide estimates for team’s work, even when there is a significant degree of uncertainty around requirements or architecture and include assumptions and rationale to support the estimates
• Manage scope and changes to that scope across backlog, including an awareness of the impact of any changes
• Deliver clear, well-structured, and concise arguments to support your opinions
• Justify opinions and the flexibility to adapt to new ideas
• Present technical concepts in a way that non-technical stakeholders fully understand
• Help the team cope with flexible scope or technical uncertainty
• Be persistent in the face of roadblocks – and dispatch them efficiently, pulling in others when necessary and escalating when required
• Quickly build trust to enable positive relationships with client stakeholders and partner stakeholders
• Ensures work is done to completion to meet a business objective, including thinking ahead to predict delivery, testing, implementation, and support issues
