Job Details
Multiple contract opportunities for experienced Agile Business Analysts / Product Owners to join a well-known global organisation ASAP! Really great opportunities to get started in a role working across some new initiatives that are just starting to kick off.
Key Responsibilities (Business Analyst)
- Break down problems and develop effective requirements and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the team
- Application of agile analysis – epics, user stories, story decomposition, backlog refinement, elaboration, story mapping, prioritisation techniques
- Ensure that all solutions that are developed are value add driven and validating business benefits vs costs – assist with the prioritisation of true high value requirements
- Work with the Product Manager to create business cases that address real business problems
- Drive a shared understanding across business and technical stakeholders
- Create and maintain good working relationships with business and technical stakeholders
- Manage business stakeholder expectations through clear and accurate communication
- Prepare and present training materials on new and/or existing features as required
- Collaborate with Technology team members within your team and across other teams to deliver outstanding results for our business stakeholders
Key Responsibilities (Product Owner)
- Define user stories, ensuring user stories meet customer requirements
- Create and manage the product backlog
- Represent the team when engaging with the business or the Product Manager
- Actively involved in development stages
- Clear perspective on customer goals and objectives and communicate these with all the relevant stakeholders
- Adept and anticipate customer needs – especially from a journey lifecycle perspective
- Liaise and monitor each phase of the product development cycle – at each review represent the customer to make changes and improvements
- Identify the product requirements for the development team
- Complete responsibility and ownership of defining and prioritising the user requirements
- Communicates with the development team to explain product features to be implemented
- Maximise value add of products that are being developed
- Collaborate and work closely with various stakeholders including but not limited to customers, business leaders, development teams, iteration managers, and other stakeholders
Skills and Experience Required:
Previous experience in large, enterprise level environments as a dedicated Business Analyst. In addition, you will have:
- Knowledge of Lean, Agile frameworks (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, Inception phase) and change management
- High level of flexibility with a strong ability to lead others successfully through cultural, process, system and transformational change
- Strong planning, organisation, decision making and time management skills
- Able to create and support a safe to fail environment
- Strong ability to influence change at all levels of the organisation
