Data Analyst (Junior to Senior)

A leading Financial Institution in Brisbane is currently seeking highly skilled and motivated Data Analysts to join their team.

Two open positions are available, one for a junior Data Analyst with 2-3 years of experience, and one for a senior Data Analyst with 5+ years of experience. Both positions offer competitive salary packages and the opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use strong SQL skills to extract and analyze large sets of data to inform business decisions
• Understand and apply data analysis principles to uncover insights and trends
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively
• Present data and insights in a clear and engaging way

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Business, Commerce, IT or a related discipline is essential
• Strong understanding of business problems, processes, and data structures, and how they can be used for analysis
• Proven analytical thinking skills with the ability to solve data-related problems
• Ability to quickly acquire expertise in business unit operations and processes, as well as an ability to understand financial systems and capabilities
• Experience leveraging business analytics to improve business performance
• Strong technical skills, including advanced SQL proficiency, experience with BI tools, data visualization tools and experience leveraging both structured and unstructured data sources
• Ability to manage a range of competing priorities considering short and long-term organizational needs

Desirable:

• Post Graduate qualifications in Finance, Data, Computer Science, Economics
• Well-developed analytical ability to interpret and communicate data analysis to stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders
• Understanding of ETL and ELT systems, processes, and data modeling methods
• Understanding of dimensional modeling concepts and practices
• Demonstrated experience of predictive modeling tools and techniques.
