As the Network Services Team Leader, you will pay a vital role within the IT team and will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design, implementation, ongoing engineering and maintenance/upgrading of all data and voice communications across the business. You will manage a team of 4 – 6 and your responsibilities will be a 70% leadership and 30% technical blend.

  • Managing the provisioning, installation, operation, upgrading, capacity planning and monitoring of data and voice communications networks across the business.
  • Overseeing the allocation of engineering team resources to infrastructure projects associated with systems engineering, including system upgrades and roll outs.
  • Managing relationships with Facilities/Property Management and Suppliers to ensure that the organisation’s expectations are met.
  • Ensuring fit-for-purpose network and voice technology solutions, diligent vendor and technology selection and technology implementation.
  • Undertaking long term network and voice strategy planning.
  • Managing, guiding and mentoring a small but high performing network engineering team.
  • Maximise service delivery through the coordination and allocation of available resources based on effective capacity planning and supplier management.
  • Fully implement the Company’s risk management (specifically including HSE, IT Security, Incident & Problem Management and Change Control), governance, compliance and accountability systems across all activities.
  • Coordinate the allocation and effective resolution of escalated incidents, requests and projects to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Act as an internal technical reference point for team members, peers and management.
  • Capacity Planning and providing analysis and recommendations to the management team.

 
What experience you’ll bring:

  • Strong relevant experience in a Network Team Leader, Technical Lead, Network Manager or Senior Network Engineer role. Financial Services Industry experience is desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications relating to Networks (Cisco/Palo Alto) & Telephony (Avaya).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to accurately articulate technical incidents and business impact.
  • Experience in the leadership and supervision of a small team, with the demonstrated ability to coach and develop others.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, document, implement and continually evolve operating policies, processes and procedures.
  • Strong experience working with multiple vendors and internal resources to deliver projects on time, on budget and within scope.
