Network & Systems Engineer

Our client, a Medium federal government client in Canberra, requires a motivated senior network & system engineer to join their team.

About the Role
This role will be responsible for design and implementation of network technologies across a range of users and across the department . This position would suit someone who has experience as network engineer or senior network admin with experience in a operational environment. The role will require a minimum NV1 clearance to be considered.

Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, a successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

• Highly skilled with Cisco technologies (CCNP/CCIE qualification).
• 5+ years experience in a network engineering role.
• Exposure and knowledge across the infrastructure space (windows, linux, VMware etc.)
• Monitor and manage network services provided by third party providers (WANGateway)
• Suport and troubleshoot network issues within a software defined network (SDASD-WAN)
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work across a range of junior and senior stakeholders.
• Design and implement good practice solutions in alignment with the whole government Cyber Security overlay and compliance with the Essential 8
• An active AGSVA NV1 or above security clearance.
