Are you an experienced Database Administrator/System Administrator with a knack for managing Windows Server and Microsoft SQL infrastructures? Our Client is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team and provide essential Database and Server Admin support. If you’re passionate about maintaining complex and business-critical environments, and if you have the expertise in managing hybrid solutions on Microsoft Azure and SQL Server, we want to hear from you.
Role Overview:
As a Database Administrator/System Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance and security of our database and server systems. You will also play a vital role in supporting Microsoft SQL availability groups and providing specialist services for upgrade projects. In addition, you will offer technical advice as required for the department’s Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Criteria:

  1. Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Expertise: Demonstrated experience in working with Windows Server and Microsoft SQL infrastructure supporting 2012/2016/2019 environments. Proficiency in Transact SQL and PowerShell is required. Experience in API automation is a plus.
  2. Hybrid Solutions: Proficiency in implementing and managing the operational aspects of hybrid solutions built on Microsoft Azure and SQL Server. Experience in integrating and analyzing diverse data sets in complex and business-critical environments is essential.
  3. Performance and Capacity Management: Assist with performance and capacity management of SQL server systems. Experience in supporting Microsoft SQL availability groups implementation and providing specialist SQL server services for upgrade projects.
  4. Technical Advice: Provide technical advice as required for the department’s Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
  5. Task Prioritization and Problem Solving: Collaborate with managers to prioritize, analyze, and complete tasks according to the nature and urgency of requests. Proven critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required. Ensure that tasks and progressive action history are duly recorded and concluded to the client’s satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NV1 security clearance.
  • Alignment with the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) is desirable.
