We are seeking a skilled Cloud Administrator to join our Federal Government client and take charge of maintaining the performance and security of their cloud-based systems. As a Cloud Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s cloud infrastructure while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Offering a long-term contract, our client is seeking professionals based in ACT and hold an AGSVA NV1 clearance or above

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate and Troubleshoot:
    • Identify and resolve issues related to AWS cloud infrastructure.
    • Conduct investigations to understand root causes and implement effective solutions.
  1. Performance Monitoring:
    • Monitor the performance of cloud systems and proactively address any issues.
    • Implement strategies to optimise system performance and efficiency.
  1. Expert Advice:
    • Offer expertise in AWS Cloud Administration, including but not limited to:
      • API Gateway, Lambda, S3, IAM, EC2, CloudFormation, SQS & SNS.
    • Collaborate with Solutions and Security Architects, providing input using best practice design principles.
  1. Linux Server Administration:
    • Maintain and administer Linux servers, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance.
    • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance.
    • Utilise automation tools such as Ansible for efficient management.
    • Implement security hardening following guidance from Security Architects and industry best practices.
  1. Additional Expertise:
    • Demonstrate experience in at least one of the following areas:
      • Utilising Cloudflare’s security services to secure web applications and optimise website performance.
      • Integrating Salesforce with AWS environments and Amazon Connect.
      • Managing either a Splunk or Elastic cluster in a production environment.
  1. Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the design, planning, and implementation of new cloud-based systems.
    • Work closely with developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  1. Documentation:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members for reference.
