Our Queensland State Government client has a focus on vibrant culture, environment, and an innovative society and economy. Bringing together a number of functions to better Queensland, the Department is currently investigating digital initiatives positioned to improve the states compliance and regulation activities and enable improved access to information via purpose built data platforms.
About the Role
Joining a Database Replacement and Enhancement project, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end development of business requirements specification documents,
  • Asist in the identification of suitable IT solutions and processes as well as substantively contribute to planned procurement activities
  • Conduct and supervise the analysis of existing business processes and data, and future business processes and data
  • Interpret business and user requirements and provide advice on the application of the information systems solution to optimise local and enterprise-wide business outputs
  • Gather relevant data to configure and implement the future departmental IT solutions

Key Requirements

  • Recent experience working across IT environments as a Business Analyst
  • Experience with analysis related to database/ data system management, implementation and replacement
  • Experience in generating a broad range of business process documentation and reports
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Power BI and Azure
