Information Technology Security Advisor (ITSA)

The Role:

Our client is seeking an Information Technology Security Advisor (ITSA) who will hold key responsibilities for leading, guiding and managing Security Compliance and Governance for internal and external programs of work, advise and consult with business units for compliance to the required standards/frameworks and drive new initatives to help the business improve as required or with new industry trends. You will report to the CISO and at times, the excutives if required, whilst working closely with clients, partners, external security agencies (ACSC etc.) and external senior management. You will motivate and lead the security team of up to 10 people and help ensure that both internal and external security is updated, relevant and secure. 

Skills and Expereince:

• 5+ Years of experince in Infromation Security roles
• Indepth knowledge of ISM/PSPF/ISO 2700 and Essential 8 
• Experience delivering security audits and assesments
• Certified with relevant industry certificates (CISM/CISP/CISA/Degree/SANS etc)
• Great communcaition – written and oral
• Team minded and can enhance the culture and outcomes
• Commercialy Savvy – ability to understand financial/reputation/long term impacts
• Must be an Australian Citizen and either hold or be eligible to gain and AGSVA NV1 security clearance
