Linux Engineer

Emanate has been engaged by a large private organisation who have won multiple government projects. Our client is passionate about all thing’s technology and outcomes. Specialising in all things digital we have extensive experience helping some of Australia’s leading enterprises with their digital solutions. This role will work within multi-discipline delivery teams. Working closely with solution architects and other technical specialists, the role will support design, development, and deployment activities. Under the direction of the Delivery Manager, Solution Architects and Technical Lead, in this role you will:
 

• Build and support Linux environments supporting enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot issues affecting the availability, reliability or performance of systems and infrastructure
• Provide technical solutions to meet business needs
• Perform administrative tasks such as change requests, maintaining documentation
• Respond to incidents and problems while adhering to set timelines

 
Experience & Skills:
 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Linux administration/ engineering skills
• Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in analysing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues
• Scripting experience in languages such as Bash, Python, Perl.
• Proven ability to work in enterprise level environments
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good networking knowledge
• Past experience in Cloud environments will be highly regarded
